The so-called bumpy buses. There were 2 kinds of buses, the Walter-Alexander Striders (original aircon), and the ELBOs (Converted aircon). These buses were bought in 1995 and at the moment, there are 50 OAC buses and 15 CAC buses. They use the ever-popular ZF Gearbox. They are based in 2 depots. The majority of Scanias are found in Woodlands Depot (WLDEP), while a small number in Kranji Depot (KJDEP).

The Hino HS3KRAKA was a demo bus registered as TIB905Y in 1998. As it became very successful, 11 more buses, in HS3KRKA body were imported, 3 which were manufactured by Dennis (TIB947B - TIB949X) and the rest by Hino (TIB950R - TIB957Y). These buses currenly are based at Kranji Depot only (KJDEP). And these buses are only permanent buses on the Bukit Batok Feeders, though cameos can be seen on other KJDEP services as well.

There are three variants of Dennis Lance buses operated by SMRT Buses. The majority are the Malaysian Lance (in Duple Metsec bodywork, bodied in Malaysia) with others being the UK Lance (in Duple Metsec bodywork, bodied in the UK) as well as the minority Volgren Lance (in Australian Volgren bodywork) which is fitted on only two units - TIB1017D and TIB1018B. All Dennis Lance buses are airconditioned. They are based in both Ang Mo Kio Depot (AMDEP) and Woodlands Depot (WLDEP).
